Ecological Research

The Applied Ecology Ltd team has a strong academic background in ecological research.  Collectively our ecologists have a wealth of experience in both experimental design and data analysis.

As a company, our interest in research focuses on both increasing our understanding of native flora and fauna, and determining what constitutes ‘best practice’ for ecological survey.

Ecological Training

Applied Ecology Ltd Directors regularly present to a range of audiences, with recent training events including a training day on bat ecology, survey for Guildford City Council, and  a Traditional Buildings Skills Continuing Professional Development lecture on behalf of Essex County Council Historic Buildings & Conservation team. These detailed and informative seminars are an excellent means of educating staff about the complexities involved in accounting for ecological issues as part of the planning process.
